First BioRegio Fair in Karlsruhe
Our hub in Karlsruhe participated and helped organize a BioRegio Fair!
BioRegio Fair Karlsruhe is a starting point for a sustainable food system in the region.
At the beginning of November, the BioRegio Fair in Karlsruhe brought together regional organic food suppliers, local service providers, network members and interested parties for a groundbreaking event.
Described by organizer and FoodCircle co-founder Sandra Schmidt as “the first organic trade fair in Karlsruhe and the start of something bigger”, the event marked a significant step towards a regional, sustainable food system.
Key highlights included:
Collaborations for change: presentation of workshops and excursions exploring solutions for regional food logistics, closing gaps in the value chain and promoting co-creative business models.
Innovative projects: Initiatives such as Grabow 24/7's automated organic regional store and Nearbuy's supply chain collaboration platform demonstrated the potential for sustainable, local innovation.
Local success stories: From Kulturküche's bioregional gastronomy to Füllhorn's decades-long commitment to local produce, the event celebrated practical solutions that are making a difference in the region.
Visions for the future: Participants came together to build a long-lasting network to overcome obstacles together and drive the region towards sustainable food.
